These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Client") and Anchor Bridge Services ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing our website, submitting information, engaging our services, or making a payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.

These Terms apply to all services provided by Anchor Bridge Services unless otherwise stated in writing.

Services Provided

Anchor Bridge Services provides professional tax preparation and filing services for Canadian individuals and, where applicable, small businesses. Our services may include:

  • Personal income tax return (T1) preparation and filing
  • Review of client-provided tax slips and financial documents
  • Identification of applicable deductions and credits based on information provided
  • Electronic filing with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA)
  • Limited support related to CRA notices for returns we have filed

Services We Do Not Provide

We do not provide:

  • Legal advice
  • Investment or financial planning advice
  • Audit representation or dispute resolution
  • Tax litigation or appeals

For such services, you should consult appropriately licensed professionals.

Client Responsibilities

To deliver accurate filings, we rely entirely on the information and documents you provide.

You agree to:

  • Provide complete, accurate, and truthful information
  • Submit all required documents in a timely manner
  • Upload documents only through secure links we provide
  • Review your completed return before filing
  • Notify us promptly of any errors or omissions

Important: You remain legally responsible for the accuracy and completeness of your tax return once filed with the CRA, even if prepared by us.

Fees and Payment

Service pricing is disclosed during the intake process and is based on the complexity of your tax situation.

Payment Terms

  • Payment is required before final filing
  • Payments are processed via Stripe
  • Prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD)
  • Applicable taxes are included in the total price shown
  • Cash payments may be accepted only through approved referral arrangements

Refund Policy

  • Before work begins: Full refund
  • After work has begun: Refunds may be provided at our discretion
  • After filing: Fees are non-refundable

Additional requests or scope changes may result in additional fees.

Confidentiality

We treat client information as confidential and use it only to provide services and meet legal, regulatory, and professional obligations.

Information may be disclosed:

  • To government authorities (including the CRA) as required for filing
  • To trusted service providers supporting our operations
  • Where required by law or regulation
  • With your explicit consent

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for errors arising from incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading information provided by you
  • We are not responsible for CRA audits, reassessments, penalties, or interest
  • We are not liable for changes in tax laws or interpretations after filing
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Our total liability, if any, shall not exceed the fees paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

Termination

Either party may terminate the service engagement at any time prior to filing.

  • Client termination: Fees may still apply based on work completed
  • Our termination: We reserve the right to decline or discontinue service if required information is not provided, if ethical concerns arise, or if we determine we cannot adequately serve your needs

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business operations. The most current version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
